Update on Julie's Shoulder Surgery

Just got a note from Terri; Julie's surgery went well this morning and she will begin physical therapy tomorrow. The doctors were pleased with how it went and expect her to regain her range of motion with lots of physical therapy and stretching work ahead. Thanks for your prayers and positive thoughts.

More Family Weekend Pics

A long weekend with the family left everyone feeling like they had lots of time to really chat and visit. John and Vickie hosted an afternoon of golf for Julie and Erick and multiple pool opportunities for everyone at Starr Pass. Char and Erick had family up to dinner on Friday. Jessie, Travis, and the girls invited everyone over to their place Saturday for an outdoor dinner gathering. Julie and Terri got some private time with Sarah on Sunday for breakfast. India and Matt allowed Lainie to wear out the kitties as she chased, blanketed, pet, and played "toss the mouse" over and over! One last afternoon at Char and Erick's gave the cousins a chance to play on the desert and for lots of hugs and "hambone" opportunities with Miss Lainie and Blue Fish (Emilie really liked Blue Fish!). And even though Sarah and Lainie couldn't join us for Sunday dinner at Starr Pass (they had a late afternoon flight), everyone else savored every moment together because no one knows when it will come again. We are truly blessed to have had this time together, and we know it.

Bairds' Last Visit Before the Big Move

Miss Lainie and Sarah came to visit while John and Vickie were in town for a medical convention. We got to go to their resort and play in the fountains and the pool. Miss Lainie had a great time (as did we all) and made several friends while she was there. The weekend with family is our final farewell to them before they pack up and head off to Ohio to join Kirk. We've been so lucky to spend this time with them. More pics of the weekend fun to come (I hope -- if I remember to take pics at the events!).
