Ryn, Tai, and Jora looked adorable as they strode down the aisle toward their dad Jeff when he married Robin last Saturday. Dressed up in their heels and polka dot dresses, they were all smiles and looking quite grown up. The setting was perfect -- lakeside at a golf resort -- and the vows and ceremony were tender and special. After an incredibly good dinner, we all toasted the newlyweds and wished them well as they start their lives together.

The Huesgens Celebrate

The Seidels Come to Visit!
Erick and I had the pleasure of hosting the Seidels for about a week, and boy, did we have fun! Even though K was sick for most of the time, we still managed to have a great time making rock piles, learning about all the cacti, going to the park and playing in the sand, reading stories, and watching NEMO and Madagascar 2. We made a visit to Davis Monthan so that Erynn and K could see where Uncle works -- K really loved getting up close and personal with the A10. I'm sure Noah will love it, too, when he's old enough to actually know what's going on.
Erick's birthday was the day after they were leaving, so we had an early celebration and K helped getting the presents opened. It was a blast! He finally got the shoe trees he wanted for his golf shoes along with some awesome Gator stuff. Go Gators!
Aunt Char and Uncle Erick couldn't get enough of those two boys. The tears started flowing when K wheeled his own suitcase out the car, hugged me, and told me, "I love you, Aunt Char" without any prompting. Up until that time, I thought I was going to escape the waterworks. Then his big smile was on and he said, "We're going home!"
Hope they'll come back really soon.

What an Accomplishment!
On Tuesday, the 10th, Erick celebrated his 20th anniversary in the military. How about that! What a blessing for all of us that he has had a successful career and that men like him are willing to keep the rest of us safe as a nation. Thanks, Sweetie, and congratulations!
