Only in Tucson!

January has been delightful and warm here in the desert! I've been driving my MINI with the top down just about every day until yesterday when a lovely, light rain began. It continued today and will be here again tomorrow according to the predictions, but oh, does the desert smell great! It's good to knock the dust off of everything and fatten up those cacti with some moisture.

Our friends from Gem Show begin arriving next week and will be here through mid-February. Since I'm not working either show this year, I'll have time to socialize and catch up with my friends from all over the world! My feet are already celebrating that I won't be on them for 12-14 hours per day for those 2 weeks.

John and Vickie are safely moved into their new home in Austin. Sarah and Kirk's cat made the trip to Toledo just fine and now is keeping Kirk company until the family arrives. Lainie got a new slide for Christmas and can't get enough of it! India and I walk about every other day at the mall and have had a blast spending time together. Julie's shoulder is coming along nicely and she was due to start physical therapy this week. Roger, Ruthy, and Trav are just trying not to freeze in Chicago. Haven't seen Jessie and the girls so can't comment on how they're doing. Jeff and Robin will be married in Green Valley on Feb. 21.

We're anxious for our trek to Bahamas with Tony, Radonna, and their boys Kyle and Keaton. The boys have never been, so they are super excited. We'll plan a big birthday bash with Betty and the kids while we're there and plan to get them back into the ocean for some swimming if weather is good.

That's about all the news from this end for right now. Just thought our blog looked lonely since the last post was the beginning of January! We look at our lives and while we're disappointed at the cancelling of the orders, we're thankful for the many blessings that surround us, especially each other. That man of mine is really something!
